FAQ - Orakul

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about the Orakul platform

General Questions

What is Orakul.cc?
Orakul.cc is a prediction market where participants trade contracts on the outcomes of real-world events. The contract price reflects the probability of an event. The platform operates as an exchange: traders trade with each other, with no agent counterparty and no payouts from the platform.
How does a prediction market work?
Each contract is a question with a Yes or No answer. The contract price reflects the probability: if a "Yes" contract costs 0.40 USDT, the market estimates the probability at 40%. A correct prediction pays out 1.00 USDT per contract.
How is Orakul different from a typical prediction venue?
On Orakul there is no agent counterparty: you trade with other participants, not against the platform. On official markets (LMSR) you can close your position early at any time. The platform fee is only 2%.
How does Orakul make money?
The platform charges a 2% fee on every trade. On user-created contracts, the creator can set an additional fee of up to 8%.
What contract categories are available?
Cryptocurrency, politics, geopolitics, sports, technology, entertainment, science, weather, memes, and more.
In which countries is Orakul available?
The platform is available worldwide. All you need is an email and USDT.

Account & Security

How do I register?

How do I change my password?

How do I enable two-factor authentication (2FA)?
Go to Profile → Security. Scan the QR code with Google Authenticator or Authy and enter the 6-digit code to confirm.
What if I lose access to my 2FA?
When enabling 2FA, you were given backup codes. Use one to log in. If the codes are lost, contact support: support@orakul.cc.
Can I have multiple accounts?
No. One person - one account. Creating multiple accounts is prohibited and will result in a ban.
How do I change my username?
Your username cannot be changed. You can change your display name in profile settings.
How do I delete my account?
Submit a deletion request via the deletion request page in your account settings. You must withdraw all funds before deletion. Trading

How do I buy a contract?
Choose a market, click "Yes" or "No," enter the amount, and confirm. You will see the payout calculation before confirming.
How is the contract price determined?
Depends on market type. Official markets use the LMSR (Logarithmic Market Scoring Rule) algorithm. Community Forecast markets use a classic order book - limit orders matched between traders. Challenge markets price the opposing-side contract at a value the creator sets at creation time. Flash rounds price each side as the share of total pool stake.
How does the order book work on community Forecast markets?
A classic exchange order book: traders place limit orders to buy "Yes" or "No" contracts at chosen prices. A trade executes when matching orders meet - for example, a "Yes" buyer at 0.60 USDT is matched against a "No" buyer at 0.40 USDT (sums to 1 USDT, the contract's settlement value). The platform never takes the other side: traders trade with each other directly.
What is a Challenge contract?
A Challenge is a public dispute between an author and opposers in a one-against-all format. The author picks a side ("Yes" or "No"), specifies their max risk amount, and sets the implied price for the opposing-side contract. The author's stake is locked for the contract duration. Any user may buy the opposing-side contract at that price, partially or fully filling the author's position. If the author's side resolves correctly, they collect from the filled opposers; if wrong, opposers receive a proportional share of the author's locked stake.
What is a Flash round?
A Flash round is a short-duration contract tied to a stream or a quick event (60 seconds to 5 minutes). All participant positions go into a shared pool. On resolution, the pool is split among traders with the correct prediction proportionally to their stake: payout = (your stake ÷ winning-side pool) × total pool × (1 − fee). Minimum position: 10 USDT, maximum: 500 USDT per trader.
Can I sell my position before market close?
Only on official markets (LMSR): you can close your position at any time at the current market price. On community contracts (Forecast / Challenge / Flash) early sells are not possible - your position is held until resolution. This is due to the nature of paired pools, locked author stakes, and short-duration Flash rounds.
What is the maximum I can lose?
Your maximum loss equals your purchase amount. You will never lose more than you invested. There is no margin or leverage on the platform. Full risk disclosure - section 10 of the Terms.
What does the contract price mean?
Price = probability. A contract priced at 0.65 USDT means the market estimates a 65% probability. A correct prediction pays 1.00 USDT.
What is the creator fee?
Creators of user-made contracts can set a fee from 0% to 8%, charged on every trade.
What is bonus balance?
Bonus balance is trading credit. It consists of the welcome bonus (100% match on your first deposit, up to $100) and the referral bonus (5% of each of your referrals' deposits, up to $500 per year per referee; the first payout activates after the referee completes their turnover). To unlock profits for withdrawal, you must trade 3× the bonus amount. See Terms §5a for details.
What is the minimum trade amount?
Minimum trade: 0.10 USDT. Maximum: 100,000 USDT.

Contracts & Resolution

How are contracts resolved?
When the event occurs (or does not), the contract is resolved. Correct contracts pay 1.00 USDT, incorrect ones pay 0.00 USDT. Funds are credited automatically.
Who decides the contract outcome?
Official contracts are resolved by the platform administration based on specified data sources. User-created contracts are resolved by their creators with a 24-hour dispute window.
What if I disagree with the result?
Within 24 hours after the creator submits resolution, you can file a dispute. The administration will review the evidence and make a final decision.
How do I file a dispute on a contract resolution?
Open the contract page and click "File dispute." Provide a written rationale with concrete source links. Filing window: up to 24 hours after the creator submits a resolution. When you file, only your own share is frozen - other traders settle normally. The admin decision is published within 48 hours. Only traders with a position of at least 0.10 USDT in the contract may file. For systematic bad-faith disputes (10+ dismissed within 30 days), dispute filing is suspended for 14 days.
What are user-created contracts?
Any user can create their own contract on any event. The creator sets the rules, fee, and closing date.
How do I create my own contract?
Go to the "Create" section. Enter a title, description, outcomes, closing date, and verification method.
What are private contracts?
Contracts accessible only via a unique link. They are not shown in the public catalog.
Can a contract be voided?
Yes. If resolution is impossible, the platform may void the contract and refund all participants.

Referral Program

How does the referral program work?
Share your referral link. After your referee deposits and completes the turnover on their welcome bonus, you receive 5% of each of their deposits as bonus balance. Cap: up to $500 per year per referee (rolling 365 days). The cap applies independently per referee - inviting 100 people means 100 independent caps.
Where do I find my referral link?
Go to the "Affiliate" page in the menu.
When is the referral bonus credited?
First payout: credits after the invited user completes their welcome-bonus turnover (3× the bonus amount). Anti-fraud gate to prevent deposit-and-withdraw schemes from duplicate accounts.
Subsequent payouts: every additional deposit by that referee triggers an immediate 5% credit upon deposit confirmation.
Yearly cap: $500 per year (rolling 365 days) per referee.
Can I withdraw referral bonuses?
Yes, after meeting the turnover requirement (you must trade the bonus amount).
